Kids Bamboo Clothes for Sensitive Skin

Myllymuksut bamboo clothing for children is soft, breathable, and designed specifically for sensitive skin. Our bamboo fabric, knitted in Finland, breathes and wicks away moisture effectively, making it an excellent choice for children and those with skin sensitivities.

Soft bamboo clothes are children's favorites

In our collection, you will find sleepsuits, bamboo bodysuits, base layers, nightgowns, and sleep sacks that keep children warm and comfortable all year round.

Note! We must warn you: once your child starts wearing bamboo, they might refuse to wear anything else! Children will choose bamboo every time if given the chance. That speaks volumes about the comfort and feel of the fabric.

Our bamboo clothing is sewn in our own sewing room in Juupajoki, Finland.

Safe and Non-toxic Bamboo Fabric

Myllymuksut bamboo fabrics are safe and ecological. The bamboo we use is grown 100% organically on dedicated eco-farms. The cultivation is strictly monitored, and all operations strictly adhere to international standards. Our bamboo yarns—along with our hemp, merino wool, and organic yarns—hold the Oeko-Tex 100 certification, ensuring that the material is classified in the most skin-friendly category.

Skin-friendly Material for Sensory Sensitivity

Bamboo fiber is silky soft, making it an excellent choice for fabrics worn directly on the skin. Bamboo knit wicks moisture away, breathes, and prevents overheating. Based on independent testing, bamboo has been shown to retain its natural antibacterial properties throughout the fabric's entire lifespan.

Benefits of Bamboo Clothing

Bamboo absorbs moisture up to 40% more effectively than cotton. The hollow structure of the bamboo fiber creates air pockets within the fabric; thanks to this, bamboo keeps you warm in the cold and cool in the heat. It is incredibly comfortable against the skin—a quality sure to be appreciated by users of all ages!

Is Bamboo an Ecological Choice?

Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants on earth. It grows like a weed without fertilizers and sequesters carbon. Compared to cotton, it requires significantly less water. However, the industrial processing of bamboo into viscose does impact the environment. Bamboo viscose produced in a closed-loop system is more environmentally friendly, and the Oeko-Tex 100 certification guarantees that there are no harmful chemical residues in the fabric.

We use cultivated bamboo, grown primarily on Chinese eco-farms. Bamboo dies after flowering, and cultivated bamboo does not deplete the food source of the pandas. Bamboo fabrics are also compostable.

What Can You Make With Bamboo Fabrics?

For DIY enthusiasts, we offer a great selection of bamboo fabrics. Use soft bamboo knits for base layers, plush bamboo terry for towels and bathrobes, and flexible bamboo jersey for underwear and T-shirts.

Myllymuksut recommends ecological, natural fiber fabrics. Based on our experience, they offer the best skin feel for sensitive skin. Check out our other ecological fabric collections here.
