Merino wool
Myllymuksut merino wool is knitted from high-quality, mulesing-free yarns knitted in Finland. The merino wool is soft, stretchy, and a good choice for sensitive skin without itching like regular wool. Merino wool is excellent for various sewing projects. The selection of patterned merino wools is extensive, and you can make the most beautiful merino wool tops and cardigans, dresses, and tunics of the patterned wool, not forgetting various accessories such as beanies. Merino wool interlock or very stretchy thin merino wool rib knit is great for base layers and underwear. Luxuriously soft merino wool fleece will not leave you cold!
Lenzing Tencel and Ecovero
Beautifully draping, ecological, and extremely soft, genuine TENCEL™ lyocell offers an excellent alternative to traditional jersey. Made from eucalyptus wood fibers, TENCEL™ is one of the best environmentally friendly choices. The production of the fiber uses a closed-loop process where the chemicals used are collected and reused. We only use genuine TENCEL™ lyocell, which is a Lenzing registered trademark. ECOVERO™ is a viscose fiber developed by Lenzing, the production of which has up to half the carbon dioxide emissions and water consumption of conventional viscose. Only FSC- or PEFC-certified wood from sustainably managed forests is used as the raw material for Ecovero™. Like Tencel, production takes place in a closed loop, where almost all the solvents used in production are purified and reused.
Bamboo
Skin-friendly and super soft bamboo, suitable even for those with sensory sensitivities, is particularly suitable for nightwear, underwear, and soft tops. Patterned, knitted bamboo is children's favorite! The colors do not fade even in regular washing.
Linen
Our selection includes both linen jersey and traditional solid-colored linen, such as stonewashed. We offer digitally printed linen in several vibrant patterns. There is plenty of choice!
Different textile types
Woven means a non-stretchy fabric using warp and weft threads. Those include linen fabrics, canvas, waffle, and linen.
How do I choose the right one?
If you are unsure, ask our customer service chat or call our office. We also respond to emails and WhatsApp messages.
Why choose natural fibers?
First and foremost, they are a renewable resource. Plants like flax (for linen), hemp, and organic cotton can be regrown, and animal fibers like wool are shorn from animals that continue to live and produce. This natural cycle drastically reduces our reliance on finite resources and minimizes environmental impact compared to the energy-intensive production of synthetics.
Beyond their renewable nature, natural fibers are inherently biodegradable. When a garment made from natural fibers reaches the end of its long life, it can return to the earth, decomposing harmlessly without releasing microplastics or harmful chemicals into our ecosystems.
From a comfort perspective, natural fibers are unparalleled. They are breathable, allowing air to circulate and helping to regulate your body temperature, keeping you comfortable in varying climates. Many natural fibers also possess excellent moisture-wicking properties, drawing sweat away from the skin to keep you dry and fresh. This natural ventilation reduces the likelihood of skin irritation and unpleasant odors, making them ideal for everyday wear. Furthermore, they often have a soft, luxurious feel against the skin, which only improves with time and proper care.
We carefully select our natural fibers, prioritizing those grown with minimal water and without harmful pesticides or chemicals. This responsible sourcing ensures that our textiles are not only gentle on your skin but also on the environment, supporting healthy soil and biodiversity. By choosing natural fibers, you're not just investing in a beautiful and durable product; you're supporting a healthier planet and a more sustainable future for fashion.
