Is the Merino Wool Mulesing-Free?
We use only mulesing-free merino wool. All Myllymuksut merino wool is Öko-tex 100® certified as well. Our merino wool interlock and jacquard designs are 19.5 micron merino wool, making it very soft to the skin.
Does Merino Wool Need to be Washed?
Machine washing is usually not necessary, as merino wool naturally repels dirt. The best way to clean merino wool is by airing it out and removing individual stains by hand. Merino wool can be machine washed on a wool program at 30 degrees Celsius if needed. Fabric softener is not recommended as it can damage the wool fibers. Tumble dryer, student temperature changes or or drying it close to a heat source shrinks merino wool.
