What is Tencel?
Genuine TENCEL™ lyocell is a registered brand of the Austrian company Lenzing.
Tencel™ lyocell is a cellulose conversion fiber that is made from the fibers of the eucalyptus tree. It is one of the most ecological choices out there with its quality and environmental sustainability being in a class of their own. A closed loop process is used in the production, where the used chemicals are collected and reused. Beautifully flowing, ecological and very soft genuine Tencel™ lyocell tricot offers an excellent alternative to traditional jersey fabrics.Ggenuine Lenzing Tencel is a tested, safe Oeko-Tex 100 certified material.
What properties does Tencel have?
Tencel ™ Lyocell clothes are silky soft on the skin and drape well. Clothes made of Tencel tricot are durable and fit well. Tencel clothes have good dimensional stability and it is a durable natural fiber that does not wrinkle easily. Tencel has several similar properties to merino wool. Smooth-surfaced Tencel tricot feels softer than cotton.

The sizing of Myllymuksut children's clothing is generous, with the aim for the clothes to last as long as possible. If you are thinking between two sizes, choose the smaller. There is no need to consider room for growth in Tencel jersey clothes, because the material is particularly flexible. Tencel jersey with elastane is also a great choice for bigger and heavier kids.
